Cancellation right/ right to return and refund

If you cancel at least 7 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee.
If you cancel between 3 and 6 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is a 50 percent cancellation fee. If you cancel within 2 day(s) of the scheduled departure, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee.

Due to the nature of this tour and for the safety of all guests Icelandic Riding reserves the right to cancel tours due to bad weather conditions, other unexpected circumstances or insufficient information from clients. In these cases the tour is refunded if pick up/ preparation of the horses has not occurred.

Icelandic Riding reserves the right to refuse service to passengers who are not capable of riding, cannot follow instructions, cannot mount their horses, how are disrespectful towards the horses or staff, intoxicated or show signs of intoxication. If, as a result, your tour is canceled, you will not be entitled to a refund.

In case the tour needs to be shortened or another route has to be taken than previously booked or decided upon because of weather, road conditions or to ensure the safety of guests this will be done with out the guest being entitled to a refund.

Payment Processing

All prices on the website are including VAT and invoices are issued with VAT.

Confidentiality. The seller holds all information from the buyer in relation to the purchase as confidential. Under no circumstances will information be handed to a third party.

Please notice that the price on the internet can change without notice. But that will not have any effect if the full payment has been proceeded.

Confirmation of own liability

With your security in mind, we have done everything in our power to ensure that these trips will  be enjoyable and safe. We tough ask you to confirm the following:

I am taking this trip of my own free will.

I consider myself completely able to take part in this trip, including getting on and off the horse by my own strength.

I will familiarise myself with the operator’s instructions and safety rules and agree to follow them in every respect.

I am aware that this trip/these trips can involve some danger.

I will  notify  the tour  guide of any  illnesses that  could  affect my  ability to take part  in  this  tri p (i.e. epilepsy, asthma, diabetes) and the medication that I take for them .

I am aware that the operator’s  liability extends only to accidents that derive from defects in or incorrect use of equipment by the company’s employees and/or carelessness on their part.  I myself bear all responsibility for damage caused by me due to my carelessness or failure to follow set/given/published instructions.

l am liable for all personal property taken by me on this trip. Backpacks, bags and large cameras cannot be taken on the ride.

I am not under the influence of alcohol or intoxicating drugs.

I declare that my child is over 12 years of age for all tours. (In cases were younger kids are allowed to ride the responsibility is solemnly on their parents)

I allow Icelandic riding to use photographs were I or my child can be seen.

Please ride in comfortable clothing including shoes (sneakers or walking shoes). No sandals, big hats, loose scarfs or other clothing not fit for the nature of this tour.

Used horse clothing and equipment is strictly forbidden and should not be imported to Iceland unless it has been throughly cleaned. Leather and gloves should always be left at home.
